The BONUSDOLLARS Reward Program

The BONUSDOLLARS reward program is used by Desjardins Credit Union and its affiliates the Westminster Savings Credit Union and Coast Capital Savings Credit Union. Unlike other reward programs that use "points", the BONUSDOLLARS reward program is based on the premise that one BONUSDOLLAR has a "value" equal to one Canadian dollar, and credits a percentage of your purchases (between 0.5% and 2.0%, depending on the card) as BONUSDOLLARS. This essentially makes the BONUSDOLLARS reward program a lesser form of a cashback reward program (lesser because BONUSDOLLARS can only be used to purchase the rewards listed in the BONUSDOLLARS reward catalogue.)

Another feature of the BONUSDOLLARS reward program is that users of BONUSDOLLAR cards can use a combination of BONUSDOLLARS and real dollars to purchase rewards from the BONUSDOLLARS reward catalogue by charging the shortfall to their credit card.
