The rewards program is generous, but the annual fee is huge. As is interest rate. There is, however, pretty wide-ranging travel protection. In the end it's one of the better "gold" cards, but despite the flashiness, "normal" cards are often better than their "gold" counterparts, and should definitely be checked out before you settle on the CIBC Aerogold.
